Ajantala The Cunning Boy

Àjàntàlá the cunning boy
Serving silently
Humbly non-speaking like
Deaf and dumb
Shouldn't you be blazing your tongue
Like the dragons?
Lies galloping a stallion for donkey years
One day,
Truth will overtake on a speeding bike
You Àjàntàlá! You Àjàntàlá!!
Haven diligently served your fatherland
In dry disguise; soon night is formed
Beating the drum in tones we loved
Your thumbs and crooked hands
Have broken now
The humble rumbling drum to piss off
The sleeping dog
Panama report, the sleeping dog
Now barking for the village to see
Àjàntàlá, the humble boy we loved
Is the thief, we been hunting for.
